Pulasthi Gunasekara
Founder
Sri Lanka is my motherland, and I was born in Colombo. My professional journey began in 2015 as an audio engineer and keyboard player in a music band. After three years in music, I realised that I especially enjoyed connecting with people, entertaining them, and creating memorable experiences. This passion led me towards tourism in 2018. I began as a tourist driver and later worked as a tour guide until 2021. I then joined a tour company as a Tour Executive and later became a Tour Manager. Through these roles, I gained experience in planning, costing, managing, and guiding journeys for international travellers. Working closely with travellers taught me what people truly value, from thoughtful planning and personal attention to authentic experiences and time in nature. In 2025, I founded Longview Tours to bring this experience into my own vision of travel. I focus on creating tailor-made journeys that allow travellers to discover Sri Lanka in a personal and meaningful way. I continuously research how technology and artificial intelligence are changing people's lives. As people become increasingly connected to screens, my vision is to create journeys that encourage them to slow down, step away from the digital world, and reconnect with nature, people, and themselves. My goal is to build Longview Tours into a responsible luxury travel company that creates meaningful connections between travellers and Sri Lanka.
Shehan Sachith
Co-Founder
Sri Lanka has always been a country I feel deeply connected to. My professional journey began in the technology industry as a Business Analyst, where I learned to understand people, identify their needs, and turn ideas into practical solutions. Alongside my career in technology, I developed a strong passion for hospitality, tourism, wildlife, and photography. As a professional wildlife photographer, I have spent time exploring Sri Lanka’s national parks, forests, and natural environments, developing a deeper understanding of the country’s wildlife and nature. In 2025, I joined my business partner in bringing Longview Tours to life as a co-founder and director. My role focuses mainly on business development, researching new experiences, understanding traveller expectations, and finding ways to continuously improve our journeys. I enjoy experiencing and researching places from a traveller’s perspective, from the Pekoe Trail and hiking to wildlife, bird watching, tea country, and other experiences unique to Sri Lanka. My vision is to help build Longview Tours into a responsible luxury travel company that combines thoughtful planning, local knowledge, nature, culture, and genuine experiences, allowing travellers to discover Sri Lanka in a more personal and meaningful way.
